Description
The DRC, in a fragile situation due to the high flow of trade with affected countries, has unfortunately not been able to escape the importation of COVID-19 cases. Denial of the disease, non-observance of barrier measures, poor access to screening and low uptake of vaccination are factors that exacerbate the vulnerability of the local population. Although complex and costly to implement, the DRC, a low-resource country, has adopted active case and contact tracing as a response strategy. The aim of this study was to assess the feasibility of the active case-finding strategy in controlling epidemics in the city of Kinshasa. It is a qualitative descriptive study, which took place from September 2023 to July 2024 in the city of Kinshasa.
