Lucía is not happy with the way she looks. The fairies decide to help her and send Roberta--an absentminded fairy with a big heart--to her aid. Roberta dutifully accompanies Lucía wherever she goes, but she does more harm than good with her mistaken spells and her stubbornness. Despite it all, Roberta the Fairy is finally able to show Lucía that she is beautiful and one-of-a-kind. Lucía no cree ser bonita y se siente desdichada. Las hadas deciden ayudarla y le mandan como hada personal a Roberta--una hada de gran corazón que compone lindas canciones, pero algo novata y despistada con sus hechizos. A partir de ese día, Roberta acompaña a Lucía a donde quiera que vaya, pero pone en apuros a la niña con sus hechizos mal acertados y actuando por su propia cuenta. A pesar de todo, el hada Roberta logra enseñarle a Lucía su gran belleza y su valor.
