Sketches, photographs, letters, concert programs, posters and accessories: this is the heritage preserved by original and often unpublished documents recounting moments of Franco Zeffirelli's theatrical career through his association with the Filistrucchi Workshop, the historic Florentine workshop of wigs and theatrical make-up. The book is the catalog of the exhibition held in Florence at the Teatro della Pergola in spring 2014. It reproduces objects that have marked the artistic path of great theatrical figures such as Zeffirelli, Maria Callas, Anna Anni, Piero Tosi, and many other items belonged to protagonists of the Florentine theater of the early twentieth century. A journey through the beauty and magic of tradition, that allows us to rediscover an important page of international theater, thanks to the artistic genius and craftsmanship of two great characters.
