U.Ve.Saminathaiyar's publications were celebrated as 'Iyer Editions'. His articles shows us his excellence as a writer, publisher and researcher. His conversations emerging from the bottom of a heart can engage any reader. Writing in a language that is filled with descriptions, drama and conversations, he also writes directly without decorations. These articles help us know about his times, the cultural and historical backgrounds. Written on Sudesamithran to Kalaimagal, Ananda vikatan, Dinamani and Darul islam among others, they were widely read and appreciated. Pa.Saravanan who collected and published Saminatham (2015) a collection of prefaces written by U.Ve.Saa has collected the originals of his articles and has created this classic edition. The editor, working as a higher secondary Tamil teacher in Chennai, was also awarded 'Tamil sangam award, ' 'sundara ramasamy award' among others for his contributions to recording Tamil social history.
