Kamleshwar is called the outspoken creator of the modern Hindi short stories and the artist of the new fictional aesthetics. He was a humanist writer. Deviant, revolutionary and resistant temperament was present in his writings. He gave a new consciousness and temperament to the Hindi story. In his stories, we see a person who is close to public life, lives in ordinary society, suffers sorrow and grief and lives his life in the world as he pleases. His stories give rise to such new fictional horizons of Hindi literature in which the sorrows, problems, pain and suffering of ordinary people are full. It also highlights the disdain for the government, especially bureaucracy. "Kaali Aandhi (Black Hurricane)" is a famous novel by Kamleshwar, based on which film director Gulzar made a film named "Aandhi". The main character of this novel is a young woman who is the daughter of a politician father and also has a strong desire to make a name for herself in politics, however, her political opponents are bent on creating various scandals.
