A novel is a prose story in which a picture of human life is presented. That is, the novel is a mirror in which different forms of life can be seen. This novel "DeewaareiN (The Walls)" is probably the first Urdu novel written on the film shot technique, the narrative of which is so vivid and so new that the reader feels while reading the novel as if he/she is watching a long film. The story of a wealthy mistress and her maid, who are brought up by the former's mother, is the true plot of this book. It just so happens that they both fall in love with the same wealthy man as adults. However, what happens to them as time passes? The ebb and flow of human emotions is a recurring theme in this book.
