Sahir Ludhianavi was an outstanding progressive Urdu poet. He was equally renowned and popular as a writer of film songs, as well. His film songs too had a poetric touch. Through these songs, Sahir tried to bring film songs closer to creative poetry and through this genre to convey modern social and political ideas to the masses. He sometimes used his standard poetry itself as a film song or modified it a bit to make it in a simple language comprehendable to Non Urdu speakers also. His film songs are compiled by Aijaz Ubaid in this book. The present is a Part-2 of the book.
