I am not Janet is a short stories collection, unlike any other. Its short stories are all part of the author's past, or his melancholic present, or perhaps, his uncertain future. Mohammad Tolooee, who has so far won numerous awards for his first novel, has shown his incredible talent of narrating apparently different stories, but completely intertwining. His prose is so captivating, so touching that his stories, even sentences from each story, would stay with the reader for long. There have been many talks since the day I am not Janet was released about the creativity of the author with not so bombastic prose. His work is easy to read, and hard to forget.
