Byrd Baylor lives and writes in Arizona, presenting images of the Southwest and an intense connection between the land and the people. Her prose illustrates vividly the value of simplicity, the natural world, and the balance of life within it.

Peter Parnell is the coauthor, with Justin Richardson, of "And Tango Makes Three". He is a playwright whose plays have been produced at the Public Theater and Playwrights Horizons in New York City, the Mark Taper Forum in Los Angeles, and the Seattle Repertory Company, among others. His play "QED" was produced on Broadway. He has written extensively for television as a producer for both "The West Wing" and "The Guardian"; he has also written episodes of Maurice Sendak s series "Little Bear". He lives in New York City.

Tedi Lopez Mills is one of Mexico's foremost poets, and her work has been translated into several languages. Tedi was born in Mexico City in 1959. She studied philosophy at the Mexican National University and literature at the Sorbonne. She has published ten books of poetry: Segunda persona, Horas, Luz por aire y agua, Contracorriente, Parafrasear, to mention a few, and most recently, Muerte en la rua Augusta, and also two books of prose: La noche en blanco de Mallarme and Libro de las explicaciones. She has translated the work of numerous American, English and French poets. Her poetry book Contracorriente is being translated into English with a grant awarded by the National Endowment of the Arts. She lives in Mexico City.
