After surviving being shoved into a perilous river, Ariel emerges eager for revenge and discovers that a mysterious vampire named the Count is the one who put her life in danger. This immortal is keen to dominate the world and seeks the werewolf claw by which to attain immense power. But how will he acquire this power-does the Count intend to raise an army of werewolves to serve him? Or does he have something else equally as sinister in mind?

After being labelled by the Vampire Council as a danger to society, Ariel must enlist the help of her archenemy Rosetti to survive a specialist vampire hunter sent out to assassinate her.
