Stacie Marino Noth is going through a bitter divorce with her soon-to-be-ex and goes to a local watering hole to dance away some of her blues. She meets cute with a handsome man but feels too guilty to go for the possible one-night-stand. She can't behave like her slimy husband, whom she found in bed with another woman, hence the divorce.
A week later, the hot guy turns up on her doorstep, in uniform, with his cop partner, to question her about her husband's murder. Of course, she's Suspect No. 1, what with the pending bitter divorce and all. But there were people way angrier than Stacie who might have wanted him dead.

As she goes through her husband's effects, Stacie discovers possible motives for his murder. Unfortunately, neither she nor the police knows why someone is after her. Whatever the true motive may be, it soon becomes clear that Stacie might be the next victim.
