The research problem undertaken for the study was mainly to measure the effectiveness of services provided by the sample public libraries. An exhaustive level of data analysis was done to accomplish the objectives of the study. On the basis of the study that has been done in the chapters, various conclusions have been drawn and certain recommendations have been made. This study aims to highlight the present situation of the public library services of the city & ways to improve it in future and it is hoped that the study will be fruitful for the Libraries/Information Officers, users of the public libraries, and students of the library science.
