After more than fifty years working in the safety field spanning nuclear weapon assembly to integrated steel mill operation, the author shares his opinion on the programs he deems important to employee safety. The list is not exaustive, rather serves as A TEMPLATE to build on when designing a total organizational safety program. Knowledge of safety rules and policies is the first step to a zero injury environment on the job. Following those rules and policies completes the effort.
