For the execution of the acts of creation (utpatti), sustenance (sthiti), dissolution (sa?h?ra), restraint (nigraha), and grace (anugraha) of the universe, Bhagav?n, the Sat-cit-?nanda-svar?pa Sarve?vara (Supreme Lord of Existence-Consciousness-Bliss), revealed Himself in this world as Hira?yagarbh?tmaka Brahm? (the creator), Vi??u (the sustainer), ?iva (the dissolver), ?akti as the power of restraint, and Ga?e?a as the embodiment of grace. On the philosophical plane, Bhagav?n alone is proven to be the abhinna-nimitta-up?d?na k?ra?a (non-different efficient and material cause) of this creation. That very Sat-cit-?nanda-kanda Bhagav?n manifests Himself in this world as Prak?ti, and it's paƱcatattv?tmik? ?akti. Moreover, He also expresses Himself in all forms, thereby establishing His sarvar?pat? (all-form encompassing nature). It is by Bhagav?n's grace that each of the five elements gives rise to a corresponding indriya (sense), and through the aid of aha?k?ra-catu??aya (the fourfold ego), the j?va, who is a reflection of Bhagav?n Himself, perceives the world. Furthermore, it should be meditated upon that Bhagav?n alone is the origin of both lineage (va??a) and guru-parampar? (lineage of teachers) in this world. From Him arise both these traditions. Of these, the uninterrupted lineage (avicchinna va??a-parampar?) is what is designated by the term var???rama. Therefore, the N?da and Bindu traditions must be protected.
This book is a humble effort in that very direction.
