He starts to realize the development of his project. Under his initiative and leadership, The Club for young technicians and The Music school for children were opened by him. He contributes to the creation of the scientific cafe-club Under the Integral. The trip to Issyk-Kul results the marked improvement in the conditions of the life in the holiday home for scientists of the Siberian Branch and the Kyrgyz Academy of Sciences. He describes his tourist visit to Bulgaria, which has had a great influence on his outlook. The book tells about the trial of the future Nobel Prize laureate Soviet poet Joseph Brodsky and the arrest of the two Soviet writers, and about the forced resignation of the Soviet state. This resignation lead to the end of the so-called thaw in the country but it was continued for a while in Academgorodock.
