Wild Goose Chase is a delightful through-the-looking-glass fantasy that follows the adventures of a small boy who, finding a door in the bottom of his sand-pit, enters a passage that leads to a castle, searches for treasure disguised as a goose, has a close shave with the mixer-monster, rescues his imprisoned dog Bruno, yet still manages to get home safely -- and in time for tea. The illustrations, finely drawn and neatly framed two or three to the page, follow the story through all its madcap action.
